Cost of Lessons
Fees are based on an hourly rate of £28.
Children usually have a weekly half hour lesson (£14) for the first few years.
At about Grade 4 or 5 standard they might need to increase to 45 minutes (£21) or to an hour.
Adults vary in their choice of lesson length. It depends on a number of factors, and can be negotiated and adjusted as necessary.
Booking
The best way to arrange an initial appointment (and / or a course of lessons) is to phone Janet on 01244 377955. If she is unavailable when you call, leave a message with your name and phone number and she will contact you - normally within 24 hours.
If you prefer to use e-mail, do so by all means, but you may have to wait up to a week for her reply. Please make sure you enter something in the 'subject' box that won't be mistaken for advertising or other junk mail.
E-mail address:
janet @chesterviolin.co.uk
If you are not quite sure whether to go ahead with lessons, Janet may be able to offer advice over the phone or by e-mail; but, if not, she may suggest that you book a trial lesson. This can take place without a violin or viola, if you haven't yet bought an instrument. She can, of course, give advice on the purchase of instruments, music, and any other equipment needed.
